Bedrock Insurance Group was originally established as Rachel Walter Agency in 1999, by sole proprietor, Rachel Walter.
Rachel started her business at the age of 26, when she responded to an ad in the newspaper to "start your own business with Farmers Insurance". Although Rachel always desired to be an entrepreneur, she never imagined it would be in the field of insurance. But with the opportunity in front of her, Rachel knew it was time to pursue her dream of owning her own business.
With no current income, and no clients, the Rachel Walter Agency had very humble beginnings. The Agency was started on a small business loan, long hours, and a leap of faith! Less than a year later, in 2000, the Rachel Walter Agency opened it's first office in Irving, Texas, and the business began rolling in.
By 2005, the Agency incorporated, and in 2008, the Agency moved to Lake Dallas near Rachel's home. Year after year, the Rachel Walter Agency continued to grow it's client base in addition to achieving recognition from Farmers Insurance for outstanding production.
In early 2013, Rachel decided it was time that her Agency had it's own building, so she purchased a 2000 square foot home in Lake Dallas, had it re-zoned for commercial, and then remodeled it for The Rachel Walter Agency. In October of 2013, the Agency moved into the new building at 215 Swisher Road, where the Agency continues to operate today.
By 2019, the Rachel Walter Agency knew it was time to re-organize itself in order to keep up with changing environment, changing client needs, and the younger generation. So, in February of 2020, Rachel Walter Agency re-organized as an Independent Agency, representing multiple insurance companies instead of just one brand. In line with the re-organization, the Agency rebranded itself as Bedrock Insurance Group, establishing itself as an Independent Agency with multiple options and solid solutions.
